Our last Church of Silk tie dye workshop was such a rainbowfabulous success that I'd love to do it again!  And what better time to make lovely handmade gifts than in lieu of the biggest shopping days of the year, just after Thanksgiving.  So save the trip to the mall and come make your own lovely silk scarves for friends and loved ones!  As my mother used to say, "Handmade gifts are always the best gifts, because they have heart."

How:  Just RSVP for directions - or just show up.  I will pre-order lots of scarves from Dharma Trading Company's website - especially of the warm silk velvet variety.  If you have a special request, I can be sure to order it for you.  Otherwise, just bring your creative juices and I'm sure you will find something lovely to make.  Prices range from $8-15 a scarf, quite reasonable when you compare them to what handmade silk scarves cost at retail. 

Bring something to share - we will have mulled wine and cheese...and as always, the Church of Silk tradition, Malibu Communion.

This is an all-ages, kid-friendly event.  Please, bring a friend!

Church of Silk workshops feature hands-on, one-on-one instruction in tie-dyeing and hand-painting silk fabric to make rainbow-fabulous sarongs, scarves, and best of all, silk flags for dancing and twirling!  We provide the dyes and various blank silk items, and we will teach you how to apply the liquid dyes to create your own one of a kind colorful creation.  Also included in the workshop fee are personalized lessons in dancing and playing with your new weighted flags.
